I came across an article tonight MSN.com about America’s Strongest Building Markets to find that the Augusta, GA and North Augusta, SC home building market ranks #6 in new building permits issued this year.  This is exciting news for buyers and real estate agents!

The article cites that the large military influence of Fort Gordon is one of the key factors in helping drive the surge in new home construction.  These permits are not limited to single family housing because there was an almost 30% increase in multi-family housing permits issued to builders.
