Tonight my family and I decided to dine at Armando’s Grill & Pizzaria in Grovetown.  This is the newest restaurant and the only place serving Italian style food that is family owned in Grovetown.  We have been saying that Grovetown was in need of this type of restaurant for a while now.

Armando’s Grill Menu

The lunch/dinner menu features Pizzas, Calzones, Strombolis, Subs, and traditional Dinner Plates of pasta with sauces that you would normally find in a small, family owned restaurant of this type.  My daughter & I both decided to order “The Hit Man” stromboli.  It was filled with ham, salami, provolone, red onions, black olives and jalapenos all inside an oven backed crust.  The crust is actually baked twice.  They pre-bake the crust so it doesn’t get soggy and then they bake it again so that all the cheese melts on the inside making the sandwich yummy!  They serve this with a side marinara sauce which is home-made as well and very delicious.  My husband ordered the Super Calzone which features up to five toppings of choice and served with marinara sauce on the side.  This way he got exactly what he wanted.

They also have a breakfast menu with omlets, breakfast sandwiches and platters as well.  I just may have to stop in one morning an order something to take with me into the office.  If you decide to try Armando’s, you will find the place cheerful, bright and clean.
