The Junior League of Augusta is having it’s Attic Sale event this weekend!

Attic Sale 2014 by Junior League of AugustaThe Junior League of Augusta hosts it’s Attic Sale annually the first Saturday of March.  Well March 1, 2014 is the first Saturday so it is Attic Sale time!!!

What is Attic Sale?

It is an event that serves 2 purposes for the Junior League of Augusta, Georgia. One is to provide a service for the community where people can find affordable goods for their family, homes and children.  The other purpose is as a fundraiser to provide the funds to the League which they in turn put back into the community. 

What are some of the things that the JLAugusta does with the money raised at Attic Sale? 

This League supports the community by providing Grants and Awards for education purposes such as ACE Awards or the Field Trip Fund for area Classroom teachers and Community Enabling Grants.  They also support of programs with these funds like Girls on the Run, Kids in the Kitchen, Arts Reading, etc….  You can find all the information on their Community page of their website.

When is the Event?

Friday, February 28, 2014 – Preview Party from 7:00 to 10:00 PM.  Tickets are $20.00 and are available at the door.   You get to shop first and eat dinner!!!

Saturday, March 1, 2014 – 62 Annual Attic Sale.  The doors open at 7:00 AM and will end at 2:00 PM.  This event is free to the public!

This event is held at the Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds in Augusta, GA.

Holiday Market by The Junior League of Augusta kicks off tomorrow, November 22, 2013.  The Junior League brings in over 40 Specialty Gift Vendors and Boutiques for this Holiday shopping event, which will run through the weekend.  The fun starts on Friday and even features a Ladies Night Out that evening.  This is “The Place” to find that unique gift for those special people on your holiday shopping list!

When: November 22, 23 & 24

Where: The Legends Club on Washington Road

If you drive by a home or see one on the Internet that is listed with another company, be sure to give me a call or a quick text message.  Since I am a member of the Greater Augusta Association of Realtors, I have the “key” to open any door of a home that is listed for sale in the Augusta MLS.  This means that no matter the sign in the front yard – whether its Meybohm, Blanchard & Calhoun, Century 21, Re/Max, Prudential, Better Homes & Garden or even a Keller Williams Realty sign – I can open the door for you to take a look on the inside of any home for sale in Augusta.

Buyer Services are also a “free” service for Buyers, since my commission is paid at the closing by the seller.  I know that most people think if they call the listing agent they will get a “better” deal, but that isn’t the case.  Commissions are agreed upon at the time the Seller lists the home for sale.  The total commission is usually split between the listing agent and the buyers agent.  If the listing agent represents the buyer as a customer, then most of the time the agent gets both sides or all of the commission.  So, you haven’t gotten a better deal or saved any money by calling that agent.

In the past, some home buyers were forced to negotiate with real estate agents that represented the home sellers.  Doesn’t sound fair, does it.  But now Buyer’s get to choose the agent they work with so you are fairly represented to get the best advice along with my strong negotiations skills. Sign up for Buyers Services for Augusta Real Estate for free!
