Grovetown High School
August 10th marked the first day of school for not only my children, but the children in Columbia County, GA. I’m not sure if those going back to school were happy about this, but I sure was! My two children attending school are ages 9 and 16 which is a huge span! My sixteen-year-old was more than happy to finally go back to school and my nine-year-old wasn’t too excited about it. I guess he just isn’t old enough to miss the socializing part of attending school.
My daughter is another story. She has missed seeing her friends even though they stay in contact constantly thru Facebook or texting via mobile phones. She was also excited since she is attending the brand new high school, (Grovetown High School), this year as a junior. Things seemed to be moving along at the new school with only a few hiccups. She had to have two schedule changes but seems to be pleased with her teachers. Everyone of the teachers and staff members we spoke with at the open house and registration event were all very helpful and accommodating! I think with the positive attitudes the staff has at the new school even those small little hiccups will get resolved smoothly. What a refreshing breath of fresh air!
I am hoping that this school year will be a great year for all the children, teachers, staff and parents. I know that I am looking forward to the upcoming fall season as well as football! Hopefully the cooler fresh air of fall will arrive sooner than later here in the CSRA. If anyone is needing information please click on Columbia County Schools.
