- 400 Residential Properties sold vs. 457 for August 2009. (About 14% decrease.)

- Most Expensive House Sold for $763,900
The Cheapest Property was a Fannie Mae Home Path house which means it was a foreclosure. This property was in need of extensive work and was most likely purchased by an investor. This is the perfect investment property to use as a rental.
The Most Expensive Property was a 5,507 square foot home located in the Estate Section of Rhode’s Farms in Martinez, GA. This home was in pristine condition and sold for $86,000 less than the asking price.
The most popular subdivision in Augusta during the month of August was Willhaven. There was a total of 12 Homes that were sold varying in price from $155,360 for 2,585 square feet to $187,720 for 3,000 square feet. Willhaven is a Crown Communities Property and is located on Gordon Highway across from Fort Gordon Army Installation.
