Recycling Drop-Off Center

The new Recycling Drop-Off Center in Columbia County, GA opened October 5th.  This new center is off of Chamblin Road which is close to the new Grovetown High School.  Hours of operation are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Saturday from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

This center will accept only:

• Clean #1 and #2 plastic items – like milk jugs, juice bottles, etc…
• Rinsed metal food cans and aluminum drink cans.
• Magazines, flossy mailings, notebook paper, construction paper and newspapers including inserts.
• Packing paper and flattened shoe, moving, shipping, cereal, snack, and electronics boxes.
• Accepted electronics include: cell phones; computers; monitors; laptops; CD/DRW/DVD drives; hard, floppy and zip drives; scanners, printers; phones (corded and cordless); pagers; pocket PC’s; cameras; servers; routers; hubs; electronic games consoles; answering machines; printer cartridges; rechargeable batteries; camcorders; stereos; DVD players; and VCR’s.  They do accept TV’s but there will be a $10 fee per set – cash only.

There drop off area behind the Evans Health Department/Procurement Building in the Evans Govergaent Center will still have Bins for #1 and #2 plastic items, office blend paper, and newspapers.
